KH Movie Night, June 4 @ 9pm!

And the winning movie for the upcoming activity is.............(drumroll)....................................

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL

The votes for Captain America came in a close second, followed by Tower Heist. Maybe we will have to watch Captain America for another activity.

Anyway, if you have not seen Mission Impossible 4, or if you did not like the other three, do not worry! I had only seen maybe the first or second one and wasn't crazy about it, but my husband really wanted to see this one in the dollar theater, and I'm so glad we went!!!!!!!!!! It was really, really good, and not at all how I had expected it to be. It is action-packed, frightening, exciting, and surprisingly very funny. I actually wanted to see it again immediately.

Maybe you love Tom Cruise, maybe you don't. But either way, it's worth watching just to see Jeremy Renner. He was awesome in this movie, and then seeing him in The Avengers as Hawkeye made him even more awesome. For the guys, Paula Patton is awesome.



Just basically, you will love this movie, and if you don't, you can come talk to me (Olivia) in the office and try to help me understand why you felt that way. It really is very cool and I was totally surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It was a perfect date movie (so you should bring one!) and would be a great Family Home Evening activity for Monday night.

Bring camp chairs, blankets, pillows--whatever you'd like to set up on the grass and get cozy with your friends and roommates.



We'll have our popcorn maching running and drinks available all evening.

The movie starts at 9pm sharp, but you may want to arrive a little bit early, say 8:30 to get a good patch of lawn and get your snacks in advance.



I really hope that you all can try to come. I think it will be a fun night.

We are looking forward to the warmer weather and all the "fun" that it brings with plenty of sunshine at the pool and activities on the grassy field. Here's to a great summer at King Henry!

King Henry Summer Kickoff Dance 2012

This past Saturday, we hosted a super fun summer dance poolside. We had a LOT of people come. Way more than anticipated. But it was awesome and our excellent DJ, Jesse, (once again) did a marvelous job. We had a few swimmers and hottubbers, a lot of Lakers/OKC fans watching the game in the clubhouse, lots of candy and chips, and so many great dancers. I, as a chaperone, was very impressed with the number of talented dancers. 

Highlights

The RAs, their spouses, and I (who will soon replace Karen as Office Assistant Manager) spent time putting together awesome glow-stick creations which we tossed off the upper balcony into the crowd at fifteen minute intervals. Everyone got really excited every time we came out with more cool glow-stick creations. It was really fun for both us and them.

We had a large enthusiastic group watching the basketball game in the clubhouse lounge area. It was the Lakers vs. OKC. OKC won, and (from the sound of the cheering) it seemed like we had a lot of people rooting for them. 

We had a group of swimmers and hottubbers who kept us entertained (mainly with their dives, cannonballs, and sweet shots into the pool basketball hoop) and who appeared to be having a good time mingling.

We had a super big, super cool and nice, and all around SUPER group of chaperones. Also, I guess we were pretty fun.   ;)

SUMMER CONTRACTS ARE GOING FAST!!

If you want to sign a Summer contract and haven't signed yet you will want to get into the office as soon as possible and take care of that before it's too late.

Summer Kick-Off Dance & Pool Party

Be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, May 19th from 9 pm until Midnight for our King Henry Summer Kick-off Dance and Pool Party.  We will have a DJ come and provide the music and King Henry will have bottomless popcorn, snacks and Lemonade.  Sure to be tons of "fun" a great way to meet new people.

Here's a question for you: How much do you love King Henry?  Wouldn't it be great to share how much you love it with your friends, whether they are incoming freshman, returned missionaries, or just fellow students who are looking for a better place to live?  

What if you could get some extra cash ($$$) to go toward your housing costs for being the one to refer them? 

Doing this is easy, all you need to do is:  

A) Be a current resident (just meaning you live here at this time),  
B) Refer a friend to live at King Henry,  
C) As they fill out their contract, make SURE they put your name (first and last) under the Student Tenant Application section on the line that reads "I heard about King Henry from..."
then, D) You will get a $25 credit added to your account!   

It is super easy and it benefits both of you!

 If you have friends that are interested in signing up (or if they just want a tour), you can have them call 801.370.2400 or come into our office Monday through Friday 10:30-5:30, (Extended hours on Wednesdays 8:30-5:30) or Saturday between 10-2. We would love to meet them! 

 

KH tenants love to party ;) The hot tub and pool are perfect places to meet other students.

 The volleyball court is a hot spot in the summer.
