Summer is finally here and even the ducks are enjoying King Henry's sparkling swimming pool!

We've got some excellent events planned for our residents throughout the summer, starting with our Summer Kick-off Dance on May 19th!  Be on the lookout for more information.

Spring Check-Ins

Spring Check-Ins begin April 23^rd from 9 am – 5:30 p.m.  Come to the King Henry Office first thing before moving any of your things into the apartment!

Wondering what kinds of things you will need to bring to your new apartment?  Here's a list that might be helpful as you prepare for your big move into King Henry:

• Linens, blankets, pillows, mattress pad for your bed
• Microwave-safe dishes, pots, pans, and other cookware you will need
• Utensils for cooking and eating
• Small appliances such as toasters or can openers
• Dish cloths, washcloths, towels, hot pads, etc.
• Garbage cans for the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms
• Cleaning supplies
• Shower curtain
• First aid supplies
• Personal toiletries
• Iron and ironing board
• Entertainment equipment (TV, radio, stereo, DVD player, etc.)
• Laundry basket
• Alarm clock
• Bike and bike lock (bikes are not allowed in the apartments)
• Ethernet cord for the internet (we sell them in the office for $6)

What NOT to Bring:

• State and community laws prohibit fireworks or other explosives / flammable materials in the apartments.
• Small appliances and space heaters are not allowed in the bedrooms.
• Incense, candles, or any other type of open flame are not allowed in the apartments.
• Pets (excluding fish in a ten gallon tank only) are not allowed in the apartments.

 

Finals Relief Munch & Mingle

We can't believe that Winter semester is almost over already and that many of you will be leaving us in a few weeks!  Since everyone is busy prepping for Finals, we don't want to take you away from your studies with a big exciting event this month, but we will have some yummy treats for all of you in the clubhouse during your Reading Days to help relieve some of your Finals stress.  Here's the details:

April 11th - 13th, 1 - 3 p.m.

At the King Henry Clubhouse

There will be cookies, chips, drinks, and candy!
